About

Hey, I’m Will. I’m a Software Engineer working on the web. Will

I’m a fan of adaptive systems in engineering, developing useful tools, and working on helping others learn more. We’re all in this together.

I’m currently working at Jeli.io, working on building the best incident analysis tools out there, where I tackle backend, infra, and systems problems to make everything you need for your retrospectives. In between projects I’m an admin in the Learning from Incidents (LFI) Slack and trying to keep up with all of the papers, books, and musings on how we build more resilient systems. Previously, I’ve worked on SRE, Infra, and Core dev teams at Fastly and Etsy.

I’m also working on a book to help folks navigate technical interviews, a subject that is often touched upon but rarely gone into depth, at least as a collected and recently updated work. If you’re interested on discussing more about how your team can benefit or if you need a hand as a software engineer preparing for upcoming interviews, ping me and I may be available to help!

When I’m not in front of a computer, I’m usually out for a run, cooking in the kitchen, or DMing the occasional D&D campaign.
